Taylor Swanson
Taylor is a Maryland native, growing up in Annapolis and working across the Chesapeake Bay and watershed. Taylor is a proud “river rat”; since his youngest days, rain, snow, sleet and fog could not keep him from exploring this place that he found so magical! His passion and curiosity for the natural world took him to the University of Vermont where he received his B.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology. It was there he developed a keen interest in environmental stewardship and education, and an even stronger desire to help give voice to the landscapes around him. Since graduating, Taylor continued to follow his passions working at Echo Hill Outdoor School as a senior educator and most recently at Calvert Marine Museum as an assistant collection’s manager. In these roles, Taylor worked to inspire stewardship and curiosity with visitors of all ages. Taylor is deeply committed to this watershed we all call home and is thrilled to be working alongside communities of faith and passionate individuals, to work together to honor, learn from, restore and protect the Chesapeake Bay.
