Green Team Highlight
Wondering what our Green Teams have accomplished? Over the years we have been inspired by our teams' fantastic actions, and below is one example from the Rockville United Church green team. To see more, check out our full list and map of green teams from throughout the Chesapeake Bay area.
Rockville United Church - Rockville, MD
In addition to becoming an IPC Partner Congregation, Rockville United Church maintains its certifications as an Earth Care Congregation of the National Presbytery and Green Justice Congregation of the United Church of Christ. Their green team has been very active over the past few months. This spring, Rockville United Church planted trees on their grounds; the trees count towards Maryland's 5 Million Trees Initiative. They also worked with IPC and Maryland Sea Grant to complete a site assessment of their property. This assessment will help them determine the best stormwater management projects to install in the future.
If you're wondering how to schedule a site assessment for your congregation check out our Site Assessment Action Kit here.
