Celebrate Creation Care by planting trees! IPC has a valuable partnership with various tree teams and cultivated committments from many congregations across the state of Maryland for a combined total of 556 trees planted in these Maryland jurisdictions: Baltimore City and County, Montgomery County, and Prince George’s County. This program works closely with the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay (Alliance). See here to look at measurable results of previous years. This exciting high-impact project will be local cooling, stormwater absorption, inprove air quality, provide of beauty, and support community ties.

Watch IPC's Learning Lab: Creation's Cure-All? The What, Why, and How of Tree Planting that dives deep into the many benefits trees provide to the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. Many congregations taking place in this program have Green Teams that can help with the maintenance of the trees after planting.
