Landisville Mennonite in Lancaster, PA invites you to join their tree planting project this Fall as they respond to God's instruction to care for the world God created. They are converting what has been a corn field back into meadow and forest. The area targeted is about 2 ½ acres, so it’s a big project that will take place on two separate days: Saturday, November 6 to plant meadow seed and Saturday, November 13 to plant 675 trees.
Ryan Davis, from the Alliance for the Chesapeake, will be on-site both days directing activities. Katie Ruth, IPC's outreach coordinator in Lancaster, PA, will also be on-site both days.
Activities:
Nov 6 9am-12pm - will be sowing seed by hand (children welcome)
Nov 13 9am-2pm - will be the tree planting (manual labor, adults required)
We understand you may not be able to come for the full time, so come by for a couple of hours! Refreshments will be served.
This sign-up is for the meadow planting on Saturday November 6th. You can see the tree planting event page here.
