Join us to celebrate Lancaster Water Week!
Lancaster County has more than 1,400 miles of streams and rivers flowing through our towns and across our farms and parks and all of this water from across the county eventually makes its way into the Susquehanna River and down to the Chesapeake Bay. For the 8th year, the Lancaster Conservancy is hosting Lancaster Water Week, this year happening from June 7th - 15th. There are more than 60 events that are part of the event this year, from kayaking tours to workshops to hikes to movie showings!
Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake and congregations within our One Water Partnership are hosting three events this year. Kicking off the week, Bright Side Baptist Church is hosting a Lunch & Learn about our One Water Partnership program and members of their congregation will be on-hand to show off their rain gardens and other conservation practices; at the other end of the week, join us for one of two Sacred Habitats Nature Walks at congregations that have transformed parts of their campus into green spaces for wildlife and people alike to find refuge.

- Sacred Habitats Nature Walk at the Church of the Apostles United Church of Christ
Listen to the "Water Week" episodes of the Clean Water Conversations podcast brought to you by the Lancaster Clean Water Partners to learn more about their work as they paddle, explore, volunteer, and take action to protect our streams and rivers for the future!
IPC staff and volunteers will also be present at Water Week’s First Friday at Penn Square in Lancaster, on Friday June 7th. Stop by and meet other people dedicated to protecting our watershed, learn about the organizations that help make Water Week happen, and take home a (free!) tree from the Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s 10 Million Trees Partnership!
We hope to see you at Water Week!
