Join Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake to explore how Ascension Lutheran Church is caring for our watershed and creating wildlife habitat in the Pequea Creek drainage!

Congregations across Lancaster County have made commitments to serve as faithful, responsible stewards of our shared, sacred waterways and the lands they nourish. On a narrow stream above Pequea Creek, Ascension Lutheran has been engaged in an ambitious and exciting campus greening effort. So far, they have established native gardens, installed a riparian buffer, and planted several native shade trees; they also enjoy views of wide, open sky from the back of their property, perfect for a bit of hawk-watching as the morning warms up. We hope you will come see what natural wonders this sacred greenspace has to share!
