Maria is currently an undergraduate student at Franklin and Marshall College majoring in Government and minoring in Spanish. She grew up in Southern California where she was exposed at a young age to the dangers of pollution. Living close to the fully concrete and almost always dry Los Angeles River, she was always aware of the effects that humans have on nature. Maria is passionate about public advocacy for the protection of the environment and is prepared to help and learn as much as possible from IPC. She is hoping to continue advocating for the environment after graduating and is looking forward to her internship.
