This Earth Day, join IPC for a two-part celebration that will leave you feeling inspired and energized to make a difference in your community!

Earth Day is a time to celebrate our planet and those who are dedicated to protecting and restoring her. It is a time to be inspired and to inspire others to act. In that spirit, our One Water Partnership Earth Day Event will highlight inspiring stories and efforts throughout the watershed. Join us at 7 pm for a movie viewing of “Earth Water Woman”, a short film about a community in Trinidad and Tobago inspired by their faith to protect and restore their watershed and local ecosystem. Following the movie viewing we will host a panel discussion of leaders in our own watershed who are answering the call to care for creation at their congregations and in their communities. The evening will be closed off with a celebration of our growing number of Partner Congregations.

The movie will be made available for personal viewing to all who RSVP starting April 9th, so we are also encouraging congregations to host their own movie discussions prior to our event. If you are interested in hosting a movie discussion at your congregation be sure to check out our Movie Discussion Action Kit.

We hope you will join us this Earth Day to learn from leaders both near and far about the role of the faith community in environmental stewardship and protection.
