Ebony is an Eastern Shore native. She has a love for entomology. Her fascination with honeybees and local honey drew her to learn about other insects. She has a Ph.D. in Food and Agricultural Science. Her doctoral research was featured in a PBS NOVA documentary about edible insects. She has taught elementary school children about the correlation between insects and our food, while assisting them in rearing crickets through their life cycle.
