We'll learn from our presenter, Naomi Edelson, Senior Director, Wildlife Partnerships, National Wildlife Federation who is an expert in native habitat. She also coordinates NWF's Sacred Grounds program with which IPC collaborates, involving congregations to plant native plants on their grounds and home properties.
We'll hear from Pastor Melanie Wells, a faith leader at Elevation Ministries in Baltimore, and President of Ignite Development Network who will share best practices and full particulars of her congregation's project. We will also hear from Adrienne Knight at Knox Presbyterian Church and how she engaged her congregation in planting native plants and worked with the Chesapeake Bay Trust to secure funding for their pollinator garden!
In addition, Emily Pearce will share her achievement in a joint pollinator garden project between her congregation and school where she was able to gather volunteers. Her congregation, Christ Episcopal Church, has also participated in several programs with IPC.
These webinars are designed to supplement the core Faithful Green Leaders Training, but everyone is welcome to participate.
