Alexandra (Lexi) is excited to join IPC as an Outreach Coordinator. She is passionate about the environment and graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a degree in Human Development.  Lexi uses her background in social science to study both the impacts of climate change on people, as well as the ways that human actions contribute to climate change. She has a diverse suite of professional experience. For example, she conducted research about behavior change in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed, facilitated listening sessions with traditional watermen on Maryland's Eastern Shore, and held focus group discussions in rural Tanzania with survivors of lion and elephant attacks. While working in the habitat restoration field over the past years, Lexi further developed her interdisciplinary science skills while installing rain gardens, educating about native plants, and providing trees to underserved communities.
