As spring returns and the earth begins to awaken, we’re invited into a season of renewal—not just in nature, but in how we care for the land entrusted to us. This is a moment to move from intention to action, grounding our faith in practices that restore and sustain creation.

To support this work, we’re excited to share two complementary Faithfully Rooted Action Kits: Planting Native Plant Gardens & Giveaways and our newly released Removing Invasive Species guide. Together, these resources offer a holistic pathway to restoring local ecosystems—helping congregations and communities not only choose the right plants, but also thoughtfully remove what no longer belongs.

Planting native species is a powerful act of stewardship, supporting pollinators, improving soil health, and reducing stormwater runoff. At the same time, addressing invasive plants is essential to ensuring those native landscapes can truly thrive. When we approach this work together, we begin to see our grounds not just as spaces to maintain, but as living expressions of care, balance, and renewal.

Whether your congregation is just beginning or building on existing efforts, these action kits are designed to meet you where you are—with practical guidance, step-by-step support, and inspiration to take meaningful next steps.

To deepen this work even further, we invite you to join us on April 9 for our upcoming Learning Lab, Plant with Purpose: Do’s and Don’ts. This session will walk through best practices for hosting native plant giveaways, help you avoid common pitfalls, and equip you with the tools and confidence to lead with intention. It’s a chance to learn, ask questions, and connect your efforts to a broader movement of faithful environmental stewardship.

This spring, let’s plant with purpose, remove what no longer serves, and nurture landscapes that reflect our shared call to care for creation.
Explore the action kits, share them with your community, and register for the Learning Lab to take your next step.
