An outdoor festival to mark the first day of spring and the Jewish month of Adar
The day will be split into two sections. In the morning (11:00AM - 2:00PM) adults are invited for environmental discussions and actions, spiritual walks, yoga, a drum circle, an open wine bar, and more. In the afternoon (2:30PM - 5:30PM) families are welcome for age appropriate environmental activities and an ice cream party.
Am Kolel Sanctuary is a spiritual retreat center in Western Montgomery County, Maryland. It is a place of natural beauty and serenity where individuals and groups can experience rest, relaxation and renewal. In 2016 Am Kolel participated in Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake's Trees for Sacred Places program and planted close to 80 trees on the property. As retreat center for the community, the Sanctuary is used by groups and organizations from many faiths and service orientations, as well as by Am Kolel for monthly Shabbat services, Jewish Renewal weekends and other special holiday celebrations. The Sanctuary is also a perfect venue for life cycle celebrations and family gatherings. Leashed pets are welcome.
