Established in 1890, St. Philip’s Evangelical Lutheran Church is located in the Dunbar-Broadway Community of Baltimore City.  As a Creation Care Congregation, one of their first projects was to adjust their energy habits. They decided upon a major LED lighting upgrade to reduce their carbon footprint and make things a bit healthier for the community.  With the help of Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake and the Delaware-Maryland Synod Creation Care Ministry, Saint Philip's completed a water audit and a grounds evaluation. Information from the audit and grounds evaluation have been instrumental in generating ideas for their greening project design. In addition, Blue Water Baltimore will be working with St. Philip’s to design and implement a rain garden on the church campus.
