St. Peter's has been involved with, and supportive of, Wicomico Environmental Trust (WET) and Wicomico Interfaith Partners for Creation Stewardship (WIPCS) for many years. For years we have taken measures to honor our pledge to be good stewards of the Lord's creation, per our Book of Common Prayer. Investing in efficient lighting, heating and cooling systems and sponsoring environmental expert lectures are some of the indicators of our commitment. Recently, we have applied for, and received, a Chesapeake Bay Trust grant to repave the surface of our parking lot with pervious material in order to protect our watershed, to install native pollinator plantings and to educate our congregation and the community on our reasons for doing so.
