Come learn how Providence of Maryland's Greenhouse operation works, and get your hands dirty with us!
After a successful tour and volunteer day in July, Providence of Maryland's Greenhouses and Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake invite you to join us on a guided, hands-on tour of Providence of Maryland's Greenhouses! We'll meet the Providence team, learn about what the Greenhouse is growing for this year, get some growing tips, and nerd-out on native plants before getting our hands dirty. We'll be helping out with weeding plants that will be sold during Providence Greenhouse's Fall plant sale on September 11th and 12th. This may involve standing for long periods of time.
We will have hot coffee, cold popsicles, and donuts! Please bring water in a reusable bottle, gloves, and wear shoes you can get dirty! It might be hot towards the end of the event, so please bring what you need to stay cool. Come for part or stay for all of this event!

Providence Greenhouses focus on wholesale production of native plants. Providence uses environmentally-friendly growing practices to grow a wide variety of true Maryland ecotypes at reasonable costs. Seasonal retail offerings are also available. Providence of Maryland's Greenhouses also provide employment opportunities for people they support. Their Greenhouses team members are continuously gaining in-depth knowledge of horticulture and commercial nursery practices, and building professional skills for community employment. You can learn more about Providence of Maryland here, and their Greenhouse operations here!
We hope to see you there!
