Come learn how Providence of Maryland's Greenhouse operation works, and get your hands dirty with us!
Join Providence of Maryland's Greenhouses and Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake for a guided, hands-on tour of Providence of Maryland's Greenhouses! We'll meet the Providence team, learn about what the Greenhouse is growing for this year, get some growing tips, and nerd-out on natives before heading back into the greenhouses to regroup and get our hands dirty. We'll be helping out with potting plants and moving soil during the volunteer portion of this event. This may involve standing for long periods of time.
Coffee and scones will be provided. Please bring water in a reusable bottle, gloves, and wear shoes you can get dirty! It might be hot towards the end of the event, so please bring what you need to stay cool. Come for part or stay for all of this event! Carpooling is encouraged.

Providence Greenhouses focus on wholesale production of native plants. Providence uses environmentally-friendly growing practices to grow a wide variety of true Maryland ecotypes at reasonable costs. Seasonal retail offerings are also available. Providence of Maryland's Greenhouses also provide employment opportunities for people they support. Their Greenhouses team members are continuously gaining in-depth knowledge of horticulture and commercial nursery practices, and building professional skills for community employment. You can learn more about Providence of Maryland here, and their Greenhouse operations here!
We hope to see you there!
