Morgan Chapel, a mission-focused United Methodist congregation, is developing a vacant field adjacent to its current buildings in order to focus on community outreach to the food insecure and socially isolated neighbors in a 22-square mile area of Southern Carroll, Western Howard, and Eastern Frederick Counties. This will allow an expansion of the weekly food pantry that provides nutritious food to nearly 500 families. And they are building Community Gardens to help their neighbors grow nutritious food for their families and provide a place to gather to learn more about gardening or just to rest and enjoy God's creation.
