Did you know!

More than 160 congregations throughout the Chesapeake region have answered the call to form green teams through the Faithful Green Leaders Training program?  Together, these teams have initiated hundreds of projects and other environmental stewardship actions.

The teams are crossing boundaries and working together in exciting new ways!  Last summer, five of the teams in the Baltimore region -- Stillmeadow Community Fellowship, Mount Lebanon Baptist Church, Allen AME and The Church of the Redeemer all from Baltimore City, and Columbia Jewish Congregation from Howard County -- co-hosted a Juneteenth Solstice Walk.  This was a fantastic way to come together in celebration of this important holiday, and was just ONE of six similar events put together across our One Water Partnership regions. 

Many of the teams have also signed the IPC's Partner Congregation Pledge, committing their congregation and members towards a larger movement of faithful stewards protecting and honoring the Chesapeake Bay.
