Is your congregation looking to make a meaningful impact for the environment? This spring, join us for our Faithful Green Leaders Training, a FREE 3-part series beginning March 11th. This training is designed to equip your green team with the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to inspire action and restore the health of the Chesapeake Bay.

What is the Faithful Green Leaders Training?

This special training series is rooted in environmental stewardship and guided by spiritual values, making it open to all faith traditions. Together, we’ll learn how to build a strong, lasting green team at your congregation, focused on honoring and protecting the Chesapeake Bay.

In this 3-part training, you will:

  • Learn practical skills to grow and strengthen a thriving green team.
  • Hear from inspiring guest speakers who are leading the way in faith-based environmental action.
  • Get support from IPC staff as you develop action plans tailored to your congregation’s needs.
  • See real-world examples of how current green teams are making a difference in their communities and across the Chesapeake Bay region.

Training Schedule:

The sessions will take place via Zoom on the following dates, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.:

  • Session 1: Monday, March 11, 2025
  • Session 2: Monday, March 18, 2025
  • Session 3: Monday, March 25, 2025

Why Attend?

The Faithful Green Leaders Training is a unique opportunity to connect with other faith communities across the region who are committed to environmental justice and restoration. By attending, you’ll gain the tools and community support you need to ensure your green team makes a lasting impact.

We encourage each congregation to send at least 1 or 2 people to represent your team. Together, we can build a powerful movement for environmental stewardship and faith-based action across the Chesapeake Bay region.

Over the years we have been inspired by our teams' fantastic actions, and below is one testimonial from out FGLT training. Hear from one of our recent attendees:

"I attended the last IPC FGLT training and I just wanted to say thanks to you and your colleagues. The training was so well done!  Everyone leading it was positive, gentle and inspirational.  I loved the format and the keynote speakers. It’s exciting to be part of a team with all the support available to help us make a difference for the environment."
