Liberation & Light: Juneteenth Solstice Celebration

Join the Lower Shore Value-Aligned Partnership at Pemberton Historical Park for a day of reflection, celebration, and connection.

Our "Legacy Talk & Walk" will start at the amphitheater before guiding you through the park, where you'll discover the vibrant history of African American leaders of Salisbury. We will honor the lives and stories of those who once lived on this land, including the courageous spirits of former slaves. Juneteenth Solstice celebration on the Lower Eastern Shore As the sun reaches its peak on the summer solstice, we will gather in a Drumming Circle, creating a Sacred Circle to welcome positive energies and center ourselves in a season of healing. Feel the rhythm of the drums as we come together in unity and harmony. The day will also feature a water blessing & ceremony, a symbolic gesture of renewal and reverence for the past, present, and future. This is a family event, open to all ages, where we come together to learn, reflect, and celebrate the enduring legacy of resilience and freedom. Join us for "Liberation Light: Juneteenth & Solstice Celebration" at Pemberton Park, as we honor the past, celebrate the present, and embrace the future.
