You'll hear from local organizations and one of our congregations on how to successfully apply for a grant. Perfect for those looking to start the process and what to expect. We'll also discuss some of the types of funding currently available range from community partnerships through greening projects, environmental enhancement, and education for congregations and greater community.
Guest Speakers:
Katie Little: Katie is a water resources engineer at Straughan Environmental, where she works on a variety of projects including erosion and sediment control, green stormwater infrastructure, drainage systems, and flood mitigation. Prior to coming to Straughan, Katie lived in Detroit and worked at St. Suzanne Cody Rouge Community Resource Center as their Green Programs Coordinator. In that role, she worked with community partners to install two rain gardens at St. Suzanne and two at Christ the King Catholic Church. Katie is from New Jersey and lives in Baltimore.
Ayanna Miranda: She is a strong supporter of IPC's work having previously served on our board. She has also served on the Advisory Board of the Baltimore Food and Faith Project at the John Hopkins Center for a Livable Future. She is a Regulatory and Compliance Engineer for the Maryland Department of the Environment. She also is a member of the Islamic Society of Baltimore green team.
