ISKCON of DC is a Krishna Bhakti spiritual community, a monotheistic yoga tradition under the umbrella of Hinduism. Part of our philosophy is understanding the earth as our mother, and therefore our loving responsibility to care for her. Currently we work with Compost Crew for our food, flowers, and compostable plate recycling, and have recently worked with the MC Planning Commission to place a large portion of our 12 acre property under Category 1 Conservation Easement.
