You’re invited to a 2-part special event!

Join us on August 24th for an invitation-only luncheon event where you will have a chance to meet other faithful stewards, learn more about the creation-care movement, and how you can bring environmental activism to your own congregation.  Participants will also be invited for an On-The-Water experience departing from Port Deposit, MD.

Meet faith leaders from the Lancaster region who are standing up in support of creation care.  Join us for an informational luncheon to learn more about the work of Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake, and how we are empowering congregations of faith to care for their local waterways & community.  We’ll share details on a number of our FREE and available programs & resources, and share stories from our more than 170 successful Green Teams.  Participants who join will be invited for an On-The-Water experiential day aboard a historic Chesapeake boat, details below.  

@ On-The-Water Experience:
Monday, September 11, 2023

Following the Interfaith Luncheon on August 24th we will invite 12 participants (due to space limitations on the boat) to join us for a day of experiential and hands-on learning about the Chesapeake Bay and its largest tributary - the Susquehanna River.  Participants will depart from Port Deposit, MD, enjoying a guided tour of the lower reaches of the river to where it connects with the Chesapeake Bay.  Expect to see an abundance of wildlife, see first hand the interconnectedness of our watershed, and to learn more about how you can have a major impact on the health of this vast ecosystem.  Additionally, participants will enjoy deep-dive conversations on challenging Chesapeake topics, and will see first hand local efforts to improve water quality and ecosystem health on the Susquehanna River.
