First Lutheran Church is a large, active congregation committed to Welcoming, Growing and Sharing in God's Grace. The congregation owns and maintains a wide variety of rain gardens and native plants. The preschool has a large outdoor classroom for nature education. They engage with community partners such as the Whipps Cemetery, the Howard County Watershed Stewards Academy, and Scout troops to promote and engage in Caring for God's Creation.
