Erin Stubbs is a proud Maryland Eastern Shore native bringing a wealth of experience and a diverse background to Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake as our part-time ShoreCorps Outreach Assistant, bringing lots of excitement to the team.

She has spent the majority of her life in the mid-shore region of Maryland but is no stranger to adventure, having traveled extensively both within the United States and internationally. Her academic and professional journey is marked by a deep commitment to environmental stewardship, leadership, and community engagement.

Graduating from Salisbury University with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies, Erin's education is uniquely combined environmental studies, business, and communications. Her time at Salisbury University was distinguished by active involvement and leadership, serving as a Fulton student ambassador, career peer, SGA sustainability committee senator, and a peer leader to Acadia, Maine. Notably, she graduated from the UN Millennium Fellowship and led the Environmental Student Association as its president.

Erin's passion for environmentalism extended beyond academic achievements. In 2019, she embarked on a study abroad journey to Costa Rica, diving into the world of Ecotourism. She further honed her skills and interests during the summer of 2021 through an internship with ShoreRivers, where she contributed significantly to water quality and bacteria monitoring, submerged aquatic vegetation (SAV) harvesting, and a variety of volunteer events and restoration projects.

In 2022, her quest for knowledge and experience took me to Dublin, Ireland, where she completed a 3-month study abroad internship at the Rediscovery Centre. There, Erin focused on the circular economy in Europe and initiated the Colour to Communities event for the Paint Reuse Network, showcasing her ability to blend business, research, and communications skills towards sustainable outcomes.

Outside of her professional life, Erin is an avid lover of the outdoors, travel, art & photography local cuisine, and holistic, wholesome, and sustainable living. She recently began the wonderful journey of motherhood with her 1-year-old son, Finley, and continue to be a devoted “fur mom” to their four pets.

Situated along the Shore, her dedication will be towards supporting the Lower Shore area, including collaboration with the One Water Partnership, engaging with Value-Aligned Partners, and aiding the Green Hands team in the Mid-Shore region. Erin's current projects involve orchestrating meetings and dialogues with Value-Aligned Partners to devise a strategic action plan for our collective efforts, organizing forthcoming events, and establishing and promoting a Facebook page to foster a robust network. She's also focused on developing promotional materials to boost the visibility of the Green Hands team, an interfaith green team, by designing logos, and creating a Facebook presence for them. Additionally, she is providing support to our regional Outreach Coordinator, Mollie Rudow, in her work with the One Water Partnership by participating in meetings and helping with event organization.

While she's not working for IPC, Erin holds the position of part-time Program Manager at the Wicomico Environmental Trust, a long-time Value-Aligned Partner with IPC. This nonprofit organization in Salisbury, MD is dedicated to championing a healthy environment for all, with a particular focus on the Wicomico County area and the Wicomico River. Her role involves overseeing the management of WET’s office, leading environmental education and restoration initiatives, handling grants, and offering support to WET’s volunteers, committees, and Board of Directors.

Please help us give Erin a warm welcome to the IPC team!
