Emmanuel Episcopal church is located in the heart of historic Chestertown just a few blocks from the Chester River. Their congregation has multiple environmental sermons and outreach during the year, especially during Creation season in the fall. Although their downtown building does not have a lot of land, they work to prioritize sustainability where possible including with rain barrels in their garth, recycling, composting, and waste reduction, and they are working on energy upgrades to the church.
