About this Event
Columbia Jewish Congregation honors Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. along with the Howard County MLK Holiday Commission and our other partners (see below) by inviting you to an online screening of the powerful new documentary, "Unbreathable: The Fight for Healthy Air", followed by a discussion on Zoom with a panel of experts on Monday, January 18th from 7:00- 8:30 p.m.
Unbreathable: The Fight for Healthy Air spotlights the ongoing struggle for clean air in the United States. Over the past 50 years, there has been major progress in significantly reducing air pollution across the nation thanks to the Clean Air Act. However, asthma continues to be the number one health issue for children and nearly half of all Americans across the country today are still impacted by unhealthy levels of air pollution. This 30-minute film shares stories of communities, including Baltimore, that are fighting for healthier air and the challenges we face to ensure healthy air for all.
A TRAILER CAN BE SEEN AT https://www.unbreathable.org/
During our discussion of the film we will talk about what we can do locally to effect change in our community.
