Beth Am Synagogue is located in the Jones Falls watershed and has had an active green team since at least 2016. They reduced their stormwater pollution by removing one of their downspouts and installing a 50-gallon rain barrel to collect the runoff. They also led a kayaking trip and trash cleanup event. They have removed invasive plants from their property and co-organized an interfaith nature walk with Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. 

The Beth Am team also leads many educational events. They organized a Tu B'shvat Seder and Green Tashlich as well as multiple solar panel educational programs and sign-up events to get neighbors to go solar. On the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day they hosted a panel discussion composes of member of their synagogue active in improving the environment and reducing climate change through their work and volunteer efforts.
