Spring breathes new life into the world around us, and is the perfect time to honor our home by taking action.
Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake is committed towards helping support you taking action within your own community through our Action Kit resources; step-by-step guides for creating and hosting meaningful programs to engage your congregation.
If you haven't checked out our library of Action Kits yet, come take a peak! We have more than 10 kits ready to support you with everything from Waterway Blessings to Hosting Movie Nights. Keep your eyes peeled, we are always adding and updating our resource library.
We're excited to announce our newest kit, Planting Native Plants Action Kit, as well as the revitalization of one of our most popular, Blessing of a Waterway Action Kit.
NEW! Planting Native Plants Action Kit
This brand new Action Kit was created in part from IPC's work with the Sacred Grounds program and collaboration with the National Wildlife Federation. This program inspires places of worship to plant native plants on their grounds, and encourages their congregation members to do the same on their property.
Come learn why natives are important, how they can benefit your community, and how you can help others connect with their local ecosystems.
UPDATED! Blessing of a Waterway Action Kit
Water is a precious resource, held sacred by cultures and faiths across the globe. One way you can be a water warrior this Earth month is to participate in a blessing of a waterway! This Action Kit provides information on why water is important for many religions and cultures, and how a water blessing can inspire others around you to take action and care for our shared watershed.
Want to see what its all about?
We have two 'Blessings of Waterways' scheduled for Earth Month! Come celebrate with IPC in Baltimore and on the Lower Shore and see how you might be able to replicate this program with your own congregation.
This program is FREE and open to all, so invite your friends and we hope to see you there!
Considering Hosting an Interfaith Event?
If you are creating an event, and you'd like IPC to help you market the event to other congregations of faith across the watershed, please fill out our congregational event form to let us know the details!
Reach out to your regional coordinator to let them know. Thanks so much!
