Join the Oakland Mills Interfaith Center Green Team, in conjunction with Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake's One Water Partnership Program, for a hands on tree maintenance workshop. We will also replant and maintain the 4 rain gardens on the property.

Participants will hear from tree arborist Lou Meyer on how to care for trees, especially our 60 "babies" that we planted in 2015.

If you have them bring safety glasses, work gloves, hand pruners and hand saws. NO CHAINSAWS. Workshop will be 1.5 hours. Simultaneous rain garden maintenance until 4 PM.

Rain garden volunteers should wear long pants, closed shoes and work gloves.

Everyone must also wear a mask in the building.

Bring hand tools labeled with your name, food and water you may need while on site.

I give my permission to carry out emergency, diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures for myself and/or my child if necessary during the course of the event. I also permit such treatment procedures to be carried out at and by the local hospital(s) for myself and/or my child in the event of an emergency. I understand that any medical expenses incurred in such treatment are my sole responsibility. I hereby grant IPC the unconditional right to use my name and/or my child’s name, voice and/or photographic likeness in connection with any audio/video production, articles, website materials and/or press releases but not as an endorsement.
