Interested in engaging congregations in our programs and supporting them in being good stewards of the Earth, we are looking for an Outreach Coordinator to serve on the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland. This individual will serve as IPC's lead staff member representing the "Lower Shore" One Water Partnership Hub, and will be involved with in-person engagement, representing IPC at community and religious events, as well as social media and email communications. We're also hiring for an open AmeriCorps Member position. This opportunity is an 11-month, full-time (40 hours/week with $15 - $16K stipend) position as a member of Volunteer Maryland. The service year begins on September 14, 2022 and ends on August 1, 2023. It's an ideal position for recent grads and anyone interested in making a difference in the area of environmental stewardship.
The Member will work with IPC’s Director of Leadership Development to establish a volunteer green team mentorship program. The AmeriCorps Member will develop this voluntary program, its tracking metrics, program efficacy and on-ramp for new IPC green team volunteers, with the support and guidance of the Director and Executive Director.
