Garden Guardians-Howard County

Why are native gardens so important?

The plants in these gardens are adapted to the local ecosystem. They increase biodiversity, provide food and habitat for native pollinators and other wildlife, and help to prevent soil erosion, among other benefits for the local environment. They require minimal maintenance and thrive without chemicals.
