Hope Episcopal Church has a substantial history of environmental stewardship. They believe it is important to observe stewardship of the earth as part of God’s mission and view the earth as a divine gift to be cared for. They believe that the care of creation extends love to our neighbors, whomever they may be.
Over the last several months they have engaged in the care of their large, extended 17 acre property. It is comprised of wooded, agricultural, residential, and sacred spaces. Recently they have began to plant and plan native plants intentionally. Their property has been certified by the National Wildlife Federation, and they are a committed partner with the IPC. Their planting strategies focus on pollinators, as well as erosion control, and the removal of any invasive species. For more information on Hope Episcopal Church, click here.
