Come celebrate the New Year at Pemberton Historical Park in Salisbury, Maryland!
The New Year is meaningful in many ways. On January 7st, 2024, we will take a peaceful walk to start off the New Year in reflection upon our connection with nature and new beginnings that the New Year represents.
Pemberton Historical Park has trails with access to a variety of land and waterscapes, a perfect place to consider how we interacted with the natural world over the past year and would like to continue in the next. Pemberton is one of the crown jewels of Salisbury -- come spend your New Years Day with us in this beautiful 262 acre park!
Please join us from 2:00PM - 4:00PM on Sunday, January 7st, 2024 to commemorate the New Year. We will be:
- Walking the trails at Pemberton, learning about natural features around us and different faith traditions relationship to rebirth and new beginnings
- Discussing our connections to nature
- Reflecting on our natural experiences through a Journaling Activity (Paper & writing utensil will be provided.)
- Hear from speakers about the significance of the New Year and new beginnings in their faith tradition (More information on speakers to come!)
Nature is present in everything around us! Help us take time to explore and uncover what new beginnings can mean and symbolize in nature and every day life. The first of the year represents how seasons change and rebirth and revitalization comes.
