Together we will explore the relationships between environmentalism, gardening, and pollinators, all examined through the lens of faith.

Come join Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake (IPC), American Chestnut Land Trust (ACLT), and faithful allies from across Southern MD for a special learning opportunity all about Faith, Gardening, and Pollinators!  Let's take a dive together into the complex relationships between pollinators-and-crops, and take a deeper look at how faith-groups can provide service to their communities and the environment through community gardening.

About the American Chestnut Land Trust (ACLT)

ACLT is dedicated towards the promotion of land conservation and preservation throughout Southern Maryland.  To date, the ACLT has now put into easement more than 4,000 acres of the Parkers Creek and Governors Run watershed's, providing permanent preservation for these locally-important biomes, and ensuring their availability and ecosystem-services to future generations.

Through it's conserved lands & waters, 20+ miles of available trails, and by providing public access, educational opportunities, and recreation of many kinds, the ACLT works closely alongside Southern MD residents to help raise awareness towards the functions and benefits of land conservation.

Additionally, the ACLT is proud to support it's Community Garden, Double Oak Farms, who annually produces several thousand pounds of produce!  Everything grown finds a home locally, with 80% going to the St. John Vianney's Inter-Faith Food Pantry, right here in Calvert County.
