One Water Partnership

Inspiring and equipping the faithful to restore our shared waters, honoring Creation and acting justly in our broader communities. This program is being launched in the Anne Arundel, Harford County, Wicomico and Baltimore City. IPC is working to cultivate congregations with the goal of equipping congregations with the tools and knowledge necessary to engage in restoration projects in your region. Mini Grants: Training on How to Apply

IPC is partnering with the Chesapeake Bay Trust (CBT) to help congregations learn about their Community Engagement Mini Grant program through webinars and a workshop.  Congregations and religious organizations can apply for up to $5,000 for programs and projects. Chesapeake Conservation Corps (CCC) Internship Applications

Calling The Young and Faithful-IPC is working with the Chesapeake Bay Trust (CBT) to help them reach young adults, ages 18-25, to apply to be Chesapeake Conservation Corps interns. These full-time paid internships will place applicants at host organizations that focus on improving the environment. The application process opens in Feb. 2020 and work begins Aug. 2020. MORE


 Trees for Sacred Places

This program in partnership with the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay is looking for faith owned properties including congregational grounds, retreat centers, summer camps, retirement communities - - anywhere in the state of Maryland that has space to plant trees on their properties. You can partner with other nearby faith-owned properties if your grounds are not very large or provide volunteers for other planting sites.  IPC will provide educational workshops to explore the symbolism and spirituality of stewardship and water in our faith traditions and the importance of tree planting in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. The Alliance will provide hands-on training for tree planting and maintenance and will guide the congregations’ volunteers on the planting day.  MORE
