Master Watershed Stewards serve Anne Arundel County communities by installing landscape projects that reduce pollution and organizing campaigns to encourage habits that make a difference. Collectively, these community-based actions reduce pollution at its source and improve the health of the entire Chesapeake Bay.
In their Certification Course, Steward Candidates learn about stormwater, restoration projects that include best management practices (BMPs), behavior change campaigns, grant writing, and more! Participants also select a track—Rainscaping or Environmental Literacy—which focuses the action they take in their Capstone Projects.
You don’t have to be an expert, they'll show you the way! The Watershed Stewards Academy is a great opportunity to learn how to solve environmental problems in your community and find a local network of energized leaders. Our hands-on, research-based certification course gives Stewards the tools to implement change in their congregations and communities, turning knowledge into action.
