Join IPC to celebrate

"Trees of Peace"

Seventeen Lancaster congregations planted over 100 trees in honor of Earth Day this year. When people of faith work together we can do amazing things. Whether or not your congregation participated you are invited to join us as we gather for a ceremonial planting of a "Unity Tree" to commemorate this wonderful accomplishment.

Dress for the weather. Bring a lawn chair and drinking water.

Planting near the Dog Park. Street parking nearby. Stroller accessible. Off path location may be difficult for wheelchairs.

Sunday, June 6th 2 PM at Buchanan Park

  • Opening Prayer
  • Comments from local officials and spiritual leaders
  • Planting of one tree, symbolic of the interfaith effort to plant Trees of Peace
  • Installation of a memorial plaque

This family friendly event is a part of Lancaster Water Week.
