Trees_for_Life_Logo.jpgJoin people of faith in East Baltimore to take a "Trees for Life" Inspirational Nature Walk to learn about the benefits of trees and the wonder of creation.

When: Saturday April 24th from 1-2:30 PM

Where: Green Mount Cemetery located at 1501 Greenmount Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21202. To park your car, pull up to the gates and they will open to let you in. Park along Cemetery Avenue. Once you park, meet at the pond.

Let's learn, walk and pray together - - contemplating the perfect cycle of life that God has bestowed on us. Why the cemetery? This urban oasis of green still serves the purposes for which the Rural Garden Cemetery Movement of the 18th century was intended, as a place of nature and a respite of calm in the city. AND there are three "Champion Trees" in the cemetery.

You can join us for just the walk or help with the tree planting in Broadway East from 9 AM-12 PM, enjoy lunch with the other volunteers and then head over to the cemetery - or you can just meet us there.

Blessing of the Trees at Noon-Join our friends from Broadway East in celebrating their planting 120 trees in their neighborhood. Begin the day at the tree planting led by Blue Water Baltimore from 9-12 PM. Lunch available for all volunteers. We will bless the newly planted trees at noon. If you would like to plant trees please register at the Blue Water Baltimore website HERE.

Then we will caravan over to Green Mount Cemetery for the Nature Walk.
