One of our presenters is Mthr Shayna Watson, Associate Pastor at Saint James Episcopal Church in Lancaster, PA. She later earned her Master of Divinity with honors from Lancaster Theological Seminary, and an Anglican Studies Diploma from Virginia Theological Seminary. She has been working with youth and families at Saint James to inspire intergenerational conversations about creation care and justice. They recently did nature walks in partnership with Lancaster Conservancy.
Another presenter is Will Massey, Director of Youth and Mission at Highland Presbyterian Church, also in Lancaster, PA. He will share about the dynamic ways his congregation is engaging youth in Creation Care.
You'll also hear from the Youth Leader, Yorell Tuck and Green Team Leader, Jackie Griswold of Stillmeadow Community Church, about the good work their youth are doing to restore the 10 acres of land of their church owns in west Baltimore.
Another congregation example of youth engagement is the Islamic Center of Maryland, where Adileh Sharieff, has creatively involved the youth in service activities in which recycling and deepening environmental awareness were integrated.
