Warner Memorial Presbyterian Church in Kensington, Maryland, won the 2024 Interfaith Power & Light Cool Congregations Renewable Role Model Award for developing a Community Solar project with newly installed solar on the roof of their congregation whose output exceeded their needs, so they’ve been able to provide electricity at reduced rates to a neighboring non-profit housing program and a number of low-income families.
