The Chesapeake Bay Trust recently announced the Outreach and Restoration Grant Program opportunity in partnership with Baltimore City’s Department of Public Works to fund projects that improve communities, reduce polluted runoff, and improve or create local natural resources like green spaces, parks, tree canopy, water bodies, and more.

To assist potential grant applicants, the Trust and Baltimore City Department of Public Works will be hosting a FREE informational workshop on Tuesday, July 9th from 6-8pm at Baltimore City Department of Public Works (3001 Druid Park Drive, Baltimore, MD 21215). Please see the attached flyer for more information.

The workshop will provide:

  • an overview of the grant program,
  • the outreach, education, and restoration goals for Baltimore City,
  • a step by step review of the application process, and
  • a Q&A with the Trust and Baltimore City DPW staff.

Workshop participants are encouraged to review grant program details and bring project ideas to the workshop.

To apply for Baltimore funds, community partners must apply online to the Outreach and Restoration Grant Program. The grant program is accepting proposals now through August 22, 2019.

Funding for projects in the City comes from the stormwater utility fee that is collected from City landowners. The Department of Public Works is committed to bettering the health and well-being of City residents by investing the stormwater utility fees back into the communities it serves.
