Come meet your IPC Outreach staff A Greener Goodbye, a free community spring vendor fair on Sunday, May 18, from 10 am-12 pm at Irvine Nature Center in Owings Mills, MD. This educational and interactive event will bring together green burial cemeteries, environmentally conscious businesses, expert speakers, and local organizations dedicated to sustainable end-of-life and eco-friendly practices. Dr. Dan Morhaim, former Maryland State Delegate and green burial advocate, will be our featured guest speaker! As more individuals seek environmentally conscious choices in all aspects of life, interest in green burial continues to grow.

A Greener Goodbye will offer attendees the opportunity to learn about natural burial practices, sustainable memorial options, and several other eco-friendly local businesses. Experts will be on hand to answer questions and provide insight into how green burial aligns with personal values and environmental responsibility. “This event is about education and empowerment,” said Greg King, Funeral Director and Director of Grief Support & Community Education. “We want to provide families with meaningful choices that honor both their loved ones and the planet.” A Greener Goodbye will also feature guest speakers covering topics such as the benefits of green burial, the impact of traditional funerary practices on the environment, and how to plan for an eco-friendly farewell. Visitors can engage with local businesses offering sustainable memorial products, services, and community resources. Whether you are pre-planning or simply curious about greener alternatives, we invite you to join us for a thoughtful and informative experience. Registration is recommended for this free and open to the public event.
